Egypt’s Design Revolution

On a recent trip to Cairo I was introduced to a spate of new design initiatives in Egypt. The most recent one is +20 Design. This took place in an old Cairene house in Khan el Khalili. Inside, several rooms were decorated with both Egyptian and Italian designed products. The aim was to show viewers that both can stand shoulder to shoulder in terms of quality and enable international companies to consider designing and manufacturing their events there.
