Into the cultural limelight

27.02.2010 | by Marisa Mazria Katz

There are a lot changes happening in the museum scene in Israel. There were several highlights I got to see on a recent trip–some of which, unfortunately, didn’t get a chance to make it into this article–that really fascinated me. Namely the Petach Tikvah Museum, which is showing some seriously groundbreaking work. Just on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, the museum has presented itself as kind of an alternative to big name museums in the country. This means they are presenting work from artists and ethnicities that do not get enough mainstream attention. If you have a chance you must visit the museum during your next visit.
