Hard to believe it has been a year since launching Creative Time Reports. Every day I am reminded why this project is so important. Our pieces are conversation starters, as you can see with our recently published David Byrne piece. Not only did this piece, which was published in partnership with The Guardian, generate an unprecedented online discussion (see NPR/Marketplace, Rolling Stone, Wall Street Journal and the Los Angeles Times), but it also was the centerpiece of the New York Times Room for Debate column. Soon after the piece was published, Creative Time Reports became part of The Guardian’s Comment Network.

Here is my Editor’s Letter for our anniversary issue, which illustrates a lot of the progress we made and why this project is so meaningful to me.
