Moroccan television was altered in the late 80's when then King Hassan II sought to modernize the media by establishing a private television station called 2M. It was quite revolutionary at the time.

"Al Khayt Al Abyad," or the "White Thread," is an amazing show that focuses on bringing Moroccan reconciliation traditions to TV audiences. The host is Nassima el Hor. I got to spend a couple weeks with Nassima while she taped the show just after Ramadan in 2009.

Here is an in-depth look at her show--which is one of the most popular in the country.
